With the body of a man and the head of the sky's greatest power;

Adorned with headdress better than any flower.

The sun, your strength, shines everyday;

You're our most important, to you we pray.

Every night Nut swallows you and you are gone;

Yet you never go for too long.

You go down to were no man wants to go;

And dawn the head of a ram when you are below.

Yet we know you would never leave us;

For that is why you are more important than Horus.

Every morning when we look up to the sky;

You are reborn, shining always bright.

I have had the very unique opportunity to be surrounded by numerous religions and be able to experience all those religions. Having been a Hindu for a majority of my life, watching and performing some rituals, and attending numerous religious classes I have a very good grasp on the major points of Hinduism, and some other minor tenants that most others do not. Yet, unfortunately I grew up in a community that laughed at my religion so it caused me to gain more knowledge of other religions, and compare them to my own. Through this process I began to look for alternatives other than a religious standpoint, therefore through my miniature journey to solve the "mystery of life" I adopted a part agnostic, part secular, part deistic faith.

Yet through all this I feel that I have gained much knowledge about many religions and have become more open with their differences and less judgemental about their qwerks. Hopefully I would not be considered infantillistic, since although I do not actively practice a religion, I attempt to understand and appreciate them. Yet, hopefully I would not be classified as areligious either since I have not noticed a "heavenly" presence in my life and tend to trust science before religion when searching for the answers to the universe's toughest questions. I feel my diversity being a Hindu at birth, who converted to Agnostisism, who is going to a Chirstian school, in a country whose majority of people are Christian or Buddhist, makes me much more open to the religions of the world.
